Today is day 5 post op.  I decided to get on the scale this morning when I woke up.  I was nervous, this is the first time getting on the scale since the day of surgery.


I am down 10 lbs.

I was shocked that I was down 10 lbs.  I was hoping for 5 pounds.  I am very happy with that result.  

I am having some pains in the middle of my abdomen this morning.  I am going to take it easy this morning, hopefully the pain will subside.

 March 13, 2023 I wasn't going to write today.  The surgical pain is worse.  I know it will be better tomorrow.  I have been doing really well with getting all of my clear liquids in, but I am having a hard time getting all of the protein shake down.  It is difficult to drink anything when you a feel full.  This is my 4th day post op and I have not once felt even a twinge of hunger.  I went for a short walk outside.  It was so beautiful, it was 70 degrees and the sun was shinning.  I am hoping to feel a bit better tomorrow. Yesterday I had 46 oz of clear fluids and 6 oz. of protein shake.

 March 16, 2023                                      DOWN 14 POUNDS It's 4:00am.  I have been up since about 1:00am.  I don't know why, but I can't sleep.   I had my post op appointment with my doctor yesterday.  Cindy (Grammys) took me to the doctor.  I can't thank her enough.  She has been amazing.  It went very well.  I lost 14 pounds is 6 days.  I honestly do not know what I was expecting, but I was not expecting that much of a weight loss in the first week.  Needless to say, I am very happy with the results.  He did put me back on the blood pressure medication for now, my blood pressure was a little high.  I can start driving again and he cleared me to go back to work, from home, starting Monday.   I am feeling amazing.  The pain is almost completely gone.  I need to start increas...

  This is me in December of 2021.  I hate how heavy I am, I couldn't find a picture of me that is more recent.  As we continue with this blog, you will see why this picture is so significant.  With that being said, I need to share what got me to today. I have been heavy my whole life.  It didn't matter what diet or what type of exercising I was doing, the weight would not come off. My Health background.  When I was 26 years old, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).  I was trying to start a family and I was not able to get pregnant.  The doctors told me at the age of 26 that I had a 1% chance of getting pregnant.  Later that same year, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis.  This is an auto immune disease, my anti bodies attack my thyroid.  I was put on thyroid medication and was told that both the PCOS and the Hashimoto's cause weight gain.  Just what a I needed, not one disease but two diseases that ...
